APPLY TO BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY

There are two ways to apply to Binghamton University, State University of New York. Please complete and submit only one:

The Common Application

The Common Application is accepted by 350 selective colleges nationwide and allows you to apply to any participating school with one application. It includes the personal essay and a letter of recommendation.

OR

SUNY Application

The SUNY application is a two-part application. It allows you to apply to several SUNY colleges with one application. Prospective freshmen who apply using the SUNY application are also required to complete and submit Binghamton University's Supplemental Admissions Form, which includes a personal essay. A Teacher/Counselor Recommendation is optional.

Follow these steps in applying to Binghamton University, and review important dates and deadlines.

Many students are eligible to earn credit for International Baccalaureate (IB) or Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

Educational Opportunity Program students have additional application and admission requirements.

Re-enroll - If you have missed two consecutive semesters (Fall/Spring or Spring/Fall) and would like to re-enroll: Download (PDF) an application.

Intra-University Transfer (IUT) or Double Degree -- If you want to apply for a double degree program or Intra-University Transfer (IUT):

  1. Talk to the academic advisor of the school before beginning the application process to be sure your grades and coursework allow you to be considered. Each school has its own requirements.
